Rodents, mice, and rats are very common throughout the area. You can find rodents in new homes, where construction and clear-cutting land draws them out and forces them to find a new home. Often that becomes your home, and you don’t know about the infestation until after you see signs or hear noises — which means rodents may have been inside for months before you noticed.

Rodents also turn up in older, more established areas where trees are larger and touch the home. A ditch or water source close to your home makes it a very conducive environment for rodents to live.

At Stampede Pest Control we use preventive measures by recommending rodent bait stations around the home. These are stations set up just in case a rodent comes creeping around. The rodent crawls inside, eats the bait, and runs off to its water source — usually away from your home — to lay to rest. We also do exclusion work. Exclusion work is simply sealing up and preventing entry points for rodents. This ensures the problem won’t persist and keeps your pest control company from having to keep coming back out to deal with the rodent problem. It costs more money up front, but in the long run it saves big money.
